Grade 2 Royal Delta Attracts Field of Seven
The Grade 2 $200,000 Royal Delta Stakes March 21 at Gulfstream Park has drawn a field of seven fillies and mares set to contest the mile and one sixteenth event on the main track.
9/5 morning line favorite House Rules has drawn post number six after winning the Grade 3 Rampart Stakes in her last start February 21 at Gulfstream. The four year-old daughter of Distorted Humor has won 5 of 14 career starts with three second place finishes for trainer James Jerkens. Leading jockey Javier Castellano will be aboard.
Molly Morgan returns for 2015 debut
Multiple graded-stakes winner Molly Morgan (3/1) has been idle since finishing third in the Grade 2 Falls City Handicap November 27 at Churchill Downs. Trained by Dale Romans, Molly Morgan has won 7 of 27 career starts including graded victories in the Chilukki, Gardenia, and Fleur de Lis for earnings of $683,999. The six year-old Ghostzapper mare is winless at Gulfstream in five starts. Corey Lanerie gets the call breaking from post seven.
Tiz Windy looks to build resume
Tiz Windy (5/1) has also been idle since the Falls City Handicap where she finished fifth. The Carl Nafzger trainee has won 4 of 12 career starts for earnings of $234,311, including the Grade 2 Indiana Oaks. Tiz Windy has raced twice at Gulfstream, winning a maiden special weight race in 2014. Julien Leparoux will be in the irons breaking from post two.
